Full-Time Centre Director
Little Prairie Daycare in Lucky Lake, SK is hiring a
Full-Time Centre Director
Level III ECE (or willing to obtain)
 
Little Prairie Daycare is a childcare facility operating in Lucky Lake, Saskatchewan. We provide care for children from 18 months to 12 years.
 
We are currently hiring a Center Director, who will work alongside our Center Administrator, in order to plan educational activities and manage the day to day operations of our facility. We are open to applicants who are self-driven, motivated, able to work in a collaborative setting, and willing to continuously learn and grow into a management position.
 
Roles and Responsibilities:
– Positively communicate with parents regarding children and their progression.
– Meet and work collaboratively with the staff to plan and implement educational activities that align with the Play and Exploration Program Guide
– Ensure a safe, nurturing, and caring play environment
– Build strong family connections
– Overseeing the hiring of new staff members
– Training new staff members – ensuring that all staff are fully trained in their responsibilities and the policies of our program.
– Mentoring and career growth – ensuring that all staff are up-to-date on the latest research in child development, safety precautions, and developmentally appropriate practices. Be a role model and encourage staff members to continue to grow their knowledge.
– Obtain knowledge of licensing and Ministry of Education regulations
– Conflict resolution- successful mediation of any conflicts that may arise between children at the daycare or relationships between educators and/or families
 
Requirements:
– ECE Level 3 or willingness to obtain upon hiring
– Recent criminal record check including a vulnerable sector check (required)
– First AID/CPR (asset)
Successful candidate will be asked to complete certification upon hiring if not already obtained (cost of certification will be paid by Little Prairie Daycare ).
– Food Safe Certification (asset)
Successful candidate will be asked to complete certification if not already obtained (cost of certification will be paid by Little Prairie Daycare).
– Proven ability to work closely with other team members
– Must be legally entitled to work in Canada with a valid drivers license

Full-time Early Childhood Educator

35-40 hrs/week

-Currently acquire or plan to obtain your Early Childhood Education Level 1 Certificate

-Training Provided

-First Aid and Food Safe Courses costs will be covered if you do not already have these.

Casual Early Childhood Educator

Hours: Up to 65/hours per month, Hours will depend on daycare needs

No requirement to have or obtain your Early Childhood Education Level 1 Certificate (option to apply with the opportunity to grow and develop your knowledge)

Summer Student
Our Summer Students work collaboratively & cooperatively with our educators and management under their supervision.
The successful candidate will work directly with the educators to assist with planning and implementation of our programming for children ages 18 month – 12 years of age.
 
✅The successful candidate will be eligible to work a maximum of 65hours/month for July-August
 
✅ If the student chooses to continue to work after summer they could be eligible for high school credits
 
✅ Must have Criminal record check with vulnerable sectors check
 
Deadline for applications is June 20, 2023.
 
To be eligible, students must:
🌾Between 16 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
 
🌾 Have been registered as full-time students in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year
 
🌾Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provinces legislation and regulations.
